Ensure loan applications are assessed accurately and timely in a fast-paced environment. Execute detailed document review ensuring all assigned documents are accurate, complete, properly executed, and registered as required. You must be flexible and available to work all shifts mentioned in the Working condition.Extra- awesome to have:You have at least 1 year of prior experience in loan underwriting, experience in a financial institution or within the auto industry Previous experience working with loan origination software Post-secondary education in Finance or Business Administration Working condition: Hours of operation are between 8 AM to 10 PM EST from Monday to Friday and on Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM EST. Option of permanent Saturday shift with the option of Wednesday or Thursday off; and our team is very accommodating with switching when required with notice. Job DescriptionOur client, a reputable credit union, is hiring a Branch Manager to lead their growing team in the Markham branch! This is an excellent opporunity with a strong interest in candidates fluent in Mandarin and English that currently work as Assistant Branch Managers, Senior Financial Advisors or similar who are looking to take the next step in their career! The ideal candidate will provide overall leadership in driving team sales objectives, ensuring high operational efficiency, and delivering superior member/client experiences. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of five within the branch, fostering a high-performance culture, leveraging their network to build brand awareness in the community, and ensuring compliance with credit union policies and procedures.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage a high-performance sales culture to drive growth and promote quality credit and service delivery.Lead, coach, and mentor employees, establishing measurable goals to ensure sales targets are met.Evaluate market trends to develop tactical sales strategies that align with branch and organizational goals.Translate strategic objectives into actionable performance targets for the branch team.Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies and internal controls.Handle complex member concerns and ensure resolution aligns with credit union standards.Recruit, assess, and select top talent to maintain a high standard of competency within the branch.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners.Promote the credit union’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and community engagement.Qualifications and SkillsExperience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial services, retail banking, or equivalent.Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Certifications: Completion or enrollment in CSC, IFIC, PFP, or CFP is preferred.Leadership: Proven ability to develop and inspire a team, with a strong background in coaching and mentoring.Sales & Business Development: Strong knowledge of sales disciplines and the ability to drive revenue growth.Financial Expertise: Advanced understanding of credit, lending, and investment products, as well as relevant legislation and regulations.Problem-Solving: Strong decision-making skills with the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage members and team members effectively.Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using various financial and CRM applications to support branch operations.Language: Oral/written fluency in Mandarin (in addition to English) is an assetNice-to-HavesBranch Compliance Course completion is an asset.Experience conducting SWOT analyses and using data-driven insights to optimize branch performance.Previous experience overseeing a team in a financial services environment.Strong community engagement and business development skills.Benefits3 weeks paid vacation + personal days, bonus potential, full benefits starting from day one, Pension Matching, and more!
