Break through at Brock.Post End Date:July 20, 2025 at 11:59 PMThis job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group)Title of Course CPCF 1F25: Media and Culture: Texts and PracticesCompensation Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. · Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $ per hour. · Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $ per hour. · In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. Duties The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required.Qualifications An Honours BA in Communication Studies, Film Studies, Popular Culture or equivalent. B+ or higher average in COMM 1F90, FILM 1F94, PCUL 1F92, CPCF 1F25 or equivalent. Demonstrated knowledge of Communication Studies, Film Studies, or Popular Culture relevant to the applicable course. Good literacy, numeracy, computer skills and experience leading seminars.
