We’re working with a well-established and reputable construction firm based in Hamilton that specializes in building projects across the region. They are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team and lead the estimating function with precision and confidence.Please note: While we are proud to represent this client, their name will remain confidential during the initial stages of the recruitment process.About the RoleAs a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of building construction projects. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.Lead the estimating process from initial concept through to final submission.Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.Support project handover and ensure a smooth transition to the construction team.Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating practices.Qualifications7+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) or residential mid-rise/high-rise sectors.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and Ontario Building Code.Proficiency with estimating softwareExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work full-time in-office in Hamilton.What’s in It for YouJoin a respected and growing construction firm with a strong project pipeline.Competitive salary and benefits package.Collaborative and supportive team environment.Opportunities for career advancement and leadership.Apply NowIf you're a seasoned estimator ready to make an impact with a dynamic construction team, we want to hear from you.
