July 25, 2025 Closing Date: August 17, 2025The Development Manager,
Office of the Chief Development Officer, working with a high degree of
independence, reporting to the Chief Development Officer (CDO), and
under the general direction of the CDO and Vice President, Campaign,
the incumbent provides a high level of confidential operational,
strategic, senior administrative, communications, and financial
support to the CDO and VP, Campaign.The Development Manager also
supports the CDO in managing a portfolio of senior volunteers and
transformational gift donors ($5M+).The incumbent strategizes,
coordinates, validates, implements and supports key objectives and
projects of the CDO, in support of ambitious operational and strategic
foundation-wide goals.Responsibilities:Supports the CDO’s fundraising
portfolio of transformational gift donors ($5M+), including moves
management, preparing solicitation packages, facilitating stewardship
reports and scheduling meetings. Supports the CDO and VP, Campaign
responsibilities in reporting to the Fundraising Advisory Board and
PMCF Board of Directors.Through project coordination work, scheduling
for the CDO and VP, Campaign, creating agendas and coordinating
internal and external meetings, maintaining SharePoint content and
permissions, writing correspondence, and performing administrative and
financial management tasks to support the smooth operation of the
Office of the CDO. Utilizing existing reports, and when required, make
recommendations for the creation of new reports to provide robust
updates to CDO, VP, Campaign and Fundraising Advisory Board.Develop a
framework to track change management initiatives and other large-scale
projects on behalf of the CDO to ensure all stakeholders are kept
informed, all necessary resources are aligned, required meetings are
scheduled and executed with a high degree of professionalism, detailed
agendas and follow-up reminders are prepared so that projects move
forward in a timely manner.Provides centralized leadership for the
coordination, communication and operations management of the CDO’s
portfolio in collaboration with colleagues in across the PMCF.Enhances
collaboration and creates operational efficiencies through the
development of automation of workflows, the development of systems and
communication strategies, in consultation with, and across business
units.The incumbent maintains excellent relationships with the members
of other executive offices within the Foundation and Cancer Centre and
serves as a liaison with various senior level administrators on a
variety of highly confidential issues and works in collaboration with
various colleagues in accomplishing duties.QualificationsMinimum of
five (5) years of experience in project management and/or executive
level support in a complex environment, preference give to candidates
with a demonstrated track record of working in fundraising. Bachelor's
degree or equivalent working experienceExcellent written and verbal
communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work
collegially and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders at all
levels of the organization.Exceptional relationship management skills
required for internal cross- PMCF, UHN and cross-Cancer Centre
stakeholders and external senior volunteer and donor
stakeholders.Strong critical thinking and communication skills, both
oral and written, and ability to work independently.High emotional
intelligence, including high levels of self-awareness, empathy, and
motivation, and the ability to regulate emotions in stressful
situations.Demonstrated ability to develop new & effective ways of
codify processes and improvement opportunities.Collaborative
leadership approach and effective at building strong internal/external
partnerships.Ability to work effectively and demonstrate composure and
good judgment under pressure, and to meet multiple competing
deadlines.Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with UHN
