Whether you prepare pastry, bread, ice cream -- or a centerpiece which
wows guests -- your contribution is one which adds to the guest dining
and/or banquet experience. You are the Pastry Cook 3. You bring baked
goods to life. The hotel relies on you to produce a superior product
and you take pride in making it happen, while working safely and
staying within budget, knowing how to skillfully determine exactly how
much you need to prepare each day. In the role of Pastry Cook 3, you
will: Be a Team Player -- whether it be a dessert, a bread, a cream
or a jam, you are the person to make it happen under the Jr Sous Chef
& Executive Chef's direction, assisting in other areas as needed to
make the team succeed.Be a Role Model -- your passion for your trade -
including how to prepare all foods safely, to sanitary standards and
within budget with limited loss or waste - is an art. Helping others
to develop their talents is as well.Be a Safety & Security Agent --
following your hotel's established safety and security policies &
procedures. Anticipate problems and ask for management assistant as
needed. Location Photo Location Website RequirementsRequirements High
school diploma or equivalent required.Enrollment in or completion of a
culinary school program with a focus on baking or pastry arts is
preferred.1-2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery
setting.Basic understanding of baking principles, pastry production,
and kitchen safety protocols.Basic knowledge of standard pastry
techniques and tools (mixers, ovens, pastry bags, etc.).Ability to
follow recipes and instructions accurately to produce consistent
results.Basic knife skills and the ability to measure and portion
ingredients correctly. Additional Job DetailsJob Duties: Assist in the
preparation of various pastry items, including cakes, cookies,
muffins, doughs, and other baked goods.Help prepare ingredients and
equipment for daily pastry production.Bake and assemble pastries
according to standardized recipes and instructions.Follow safety
protocols when handling ovens, mixers, and other kitchen
equipment.Ensure that all products are prepared with attention to
consistency and quality.Follow guidelines to ensure proper
presentation and decoration of desserts (i.e., simple garnishing,
icing, or finishing touches as instructed).Check finished items for
quality, taste, and presentation before they are sent out for
service.Keep work areas organized and tidy to ensure safe and
efficient workflow.Assist in inventory management by helping to
monitor stock levels and properly store ingredients and finished
products.Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet daily
