Here is what a typical day looks like You will provide quotes and sell new policies to customers via phone, in-person and by email Everyday you will assist customers with the purchase of their home and auto policy You will manage and build customer relationships and meet insurance sales targets Follow up on all client accounts to resolve outstanding activities Conduct sales calls for new business and making timely renewal calls for existing customer business The value you bring You do not need experience, if unlicensed, we would provide applicable training for the right candidate General Level 1 Insurance License an asset Proficient in navigating multiple computer programs You must be able to communicate professionally in-person, over the phone, and through email Prior experience achieving sale targets in a similar or comparable role Working experience in EPIC an asset Hours: Full-time / 40 hour/week Location: Fort St. John, BC Compensation Range: $51,000 - $61,000 Requisition #: 81997 At Western, we prioritize the well-being of our employees and are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that values diversity within our communities. To provide front-line customer service of Commercial Lines policies and taking responsibility for the retention and account development of existing clients, quoting and placing new business as required Servicing on-going client needs, advising on insurance matters, conducting needs assessments, recommending solutions, answering inquiries, conducting care calls and processing renewals
Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business
Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters and walk-in clients
Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy
Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and review renewals
Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes
Actively participate in training initiatives
Participate in community marketing initiatives The Successful candidate will have:
*If you feel you have the equivalent skills, please apply* High School and/or Post-Secondary Education
Previous Commercial Insurance experience is an asset
AIC Level 1 or 2 License
Proficient in EPIC
Proficient using CISCO Finesse
Proficient in MS Office- Word, Excel, Outlook
Previous sales experience is an asset;
Excellent customer service skills and adept in conflict resolution
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully;
Strong analytical and organizational skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to pass a criminal and credit check
