  • In this role, you will help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products. By providing tax guidance and reviewing personal tax returns for customers completing their tax return on their own, full service return preparation, and managing product/software inquiries, you will be working toward accelerating our goal of Powering Prosperity Around the World.
  • You will utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer in terms they will understand.
  • This is a virtual, customer-facing role, so you will use our state of the art video communication software to interact with customers, and you will document your interactions to maintain accurate records.

About the Client
Our client is looking for a Finance Manager for a 12-month contract.

About the Opportunity
General Accounting & Financial Oversight:
  • Supervise account reconciliation activities across all general ledger accounts, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items
  • Approve reconciliations and journal entries prepared by junior accounting team members
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, schedules, and reports
  • Produce full financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and support in delivering financial analysis
  • Identify and address financial or operational discrepancies as they arise
Audit, Compliance & Reporting:
  • Act as the main point of contact for audit-related requests and ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • Prepare and file indirect tax returns (e.g., sales tax) and other statutory filings in line with regulatory deadlines
  • Review contracts and ensure they meet the financial compliance standards of the organization
Receivables Management:
  • Lead the month-end receivables process, including bad debt analysis, aging reports, and necessary adjustments
  • Approve refund transactions and service request workflows in designated platforms
  • Respond to inquiries related to receivables from internal teams and external partners
Process Improvement & Team Leadership:
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and systems projects, providing financial input during testing and rollout
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Drive process enhancements and efficiencies within accounting and reporting workflows

About You
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance; professional designation (e.g., CPA) is required
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience managing or mentoring others
  • Strong understanding of private-sector accounting frameworks (e.g., ASPE); familiarity with non-profit standards is beneficial
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365; knowledge of tools like Power BI and VBA is considered an asset
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise accounting systems; involvement in system upgrades or implementations is a plus
  • High attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive or confidential information

  • Act as key support to the Director, Fund Treasury assisting with special projects related to changes in audit requirements, vendor operations and/or regulatory governance. May include digitization and automation initiatives, process improvement review and implementation, and coordination of special audit engagements.
  • Participate and lead in cross training on key fund reporting functions and provide back up support as necessary.


About You  
  • University Degree, preferably with a focus on Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 5+ Years of relevant experience; managerial experience is an asset
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA) or post-graduate designation (MBA, CFA, CBV) equivalent is required

About the Opportunity  
Tax (50%)
  • Lead all aspects of corporate tax compliance, including income tax, indirect tax (e.g., GST/HST, sales tax), and international tax reporting.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s effective tax rate.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impact on the organization.
  • Manage transfer pricing documentation and ensure alignment with global requirements.
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence and structuring.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions under IFRS or US GAAP (as applicable).

Treasury (50%)
  • Oversee daily cash management, including forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital optimization.
  • Manage banking relationships and negotiate banking services, credit facilities, and loan agreements.
  • Develop and implement treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Lead cash flow forecasting and support investment and funding strategies.
  • Monitor currency exposure and recommend appropriate hedging strategies.
  • Support risk management activities related to interest rates, FX, and counterparty risks.

About You  
  • CPA  or equivalent professional accounting designation required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in tax and treasury, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in corporate tax compliance, tax provision, and treasury operations.
  • Experience in a multi-entity and/or international organization preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP accounting standards.
  • Proficient in financial systems (e.g., ERP, tax software, treasury management tools).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional initiatives.


Salary Range  
$160,000 - $170,000/year
