About the Opportunity
- Development of annual and multi-year operating budget assessing and advising on the key drivers to performance.
- Monitor and forecast budgets on a risk-based approach, managing, challenging and influencing the assumptions used by budget holders to achieve expected financial results.

Tax Operations – External
- Prepare filings for NNCI Canadian Federal & Provincial Income Tax Returns, including detailed T106 Forms, NR4s, T4ANRs, T661 SR&ED Claims, and other necessary forms and elections.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to enhance business understanding and provide high-quality deliverables.
- Prepare responses to Federal and Provincial audit queries and review Regulation 105/102 withholding requirements related to services provided to NNCI.
- Assist in preparing Notices of Objection when applicable and support the tax filing process for other Canadian entities.
- Prepare and submit Excise Tax Returns as required.

- Ensure accurate completion and submission of the tax pages of the Annual Questionnaire to HQ.
- Manage return to accrual entries for NNCI, monthly corporate estimates, and tax account reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain well-documented internal controls over tax processes and prepare tax entries in the tax ledger, ensuring accuracy in SAP.
- Focus on benefit realization with SAP S/4HANA and assist the Director with business development opportunities.
- Prepare supporting documentation for SR&ED claims and manage the filing process to ensure timely accuracy of Canadian Federal and Provincial incentives.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations to ensure compliance with CRA guidelines and prepare calculations for annual reporting to the PMPRB.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all credit and incentive claims for tax files and support tax audit inquiries related to incentives.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal stakeholders on tax-related inquiries and assist the Tax Director in optimizing processes through the finance digital agenda.
- Provide support for Transfer Pricing and Indirect Tax tasks as needed and assist with ad hoc projects from stakeholders.
- Research and address tax issues that arise, providing advice and recommendations as necessary.
- Focus on reviewing current processes, identifying improvements, and supporting the overall tax strategy.

JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Client Financial Services (CFS) manages the accounts receivable and collections activities for an assigned portfolio of client accounts by managing a team of CFS Representatives. This includes (but is not limited to) monitoring, identifying, and addressing issues of assigned accounts, maintaining a strong cash flow through efficient collections; achieving and/or exceeding departmental goals; mitigating financial risk; ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures; and leading, coaching and developing staff.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage all aspects of collection activities which includes (but is not limited to) ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures; negotiating payment terms while maintaining client goodwill; and facilitating dispute resolution. Determine appropriate course of action for dealing with delinquent accounts; escalate internally with Account Management or with the client to determine the root cause and potential solutions. Identify and recommend account balances or amounts to be transferred to third party collections and/or added to allowance for doubtful accounts. Recommend credit line increases, decreases and/or removal, outside of approved guidelines. Conduct regular meetings with CFS Representatives and/or Supervisor to review account receivables portfolio and discuss any issues or concerns on accounts. Monitor collector productivity through various reports and KPI’s. Work closely with the Credit Services department and other business units i.e. Account Management, Client Service, Operations, etc. to ensure client service satisfaction. Identify and recommend areas of improvements within standard operating procedures and departmental policies and procedures in order to enhance efficiencies. Implement and monitor the processes within team. Lead, motivate, and mentor staff. Evaluate and complete individual performance evaluations. Recommend training where required. Recruit, interview and hire staff. Consult with Human Resources about employee relations including disciplinary action. Prepare and analyze various reports on a periodic basis or as requested for management. Perform other related duties as assigned by management including project support. Adhere to established policies and procedures. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Solid knowledge of credit, collections and accounts receivable processes and procedures. Strong conflict resolution skills; excellent research, analytical and problem-solving capabilities to ensure problems, complaints, and inquiries are handled tactfully, effectively and promptly; ability to recommend win-win solutions. Excellent communication (oral & written), organizational and negotiating skills. Strong relationship building skills with all levels of management and clients (internal & external). Strong people management skills including leading, performance management, mentoring, coaching and developing teams. Excellent judgment and decision-making capabilities.
