As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!MissionTerus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is looking to hire a Quarry Project Manager in Prince Rupert, BC.The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quarry operations of up to one million tones per year, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects related to the extraction and processing of materials. This role also involves managing sales and quoting processes to ensure that customer requirements are met while maintaining profitability. The Project Manager ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Main Responsibilities•    Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for quarry operations.•    Coordinate and manage all aspects of quarry projects, including resource allocation, procurement, and logistics.•    Lead and supervise project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among team members.•    Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.•    Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.•    Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other professionals to optimize extraction processes and resource management.•    Manage the sales process, including identifying potential clients and opportunities for quarry materials.•    Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for customers, ensuring alignment with project costs and profit margins.•    Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.•    Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.•    Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, quality standards, and customer satisfaction.•    Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements that can improve quarry operations and sales processes. Qualifications•    Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Geology, or a related field. Recommended but not required.•    Proven experience in project management, sales, or business development, preferably in the construction or mining industry.•    Strong knowledge of quarry operations, materials processing, and sales strategies.•    Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.•    Proficiency in project management software, sales tools, and quoting systems.•    Understanding of safety regulations and environmental compliance.Working Conditions•    Work is primarily conducted on-site in a quarry environment, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and heavy machinery.•    Occasional travel may be required for project assessments, client meetings, and stakeholder engagements.Compensation DataThe anticipated salary range for this position is $92,700 to $113,300 CAD annually. Position SummaryGENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM:You must apply on this posting to be considered for this program, department and worksite.You must reside in the community you are applying for.You must attach a recent resume when applying on this posting. Dates are subject to change at any time.The Program will involve participants completing the Health Care Assistant certification program at a post-secondary institution with tuition paid for by the Ministry of Health and participants paid a stipend for 37.5 hours per week while studying. The current stipend rate is $24.80 per hour. This program may take up to 10.5 months to complete. Upon successful completion and registration with the BC Care Aide/Community Health Worker Registry, you will commence employment as a Care Aide per the terms of the agreement.You must have a personal laptop/computer and reliable internet connection as some classes may be done from home.Some of the Conditions relating to this Position are:•Must be a Canadian citizen or hold Permanent Residency status in Canada.• Completing a Criminal Record Check (CRC) for working with children and vulnerable adults.• eeting the College admission requirements for the Health Care Assistant Program in a timely manner. Those accepted by the college first will stand a better chance of securing a seat.• S gning a 12 month return of service (ROS) agreement. The ROS period commences upon becoming registered and starting in a Care Aide position. • S gning the Heath Care Support Worker Certificate Program Waiver that allows the sharing of your relevant information with the post-secondary institution.• P ss an English proficiency test if English is your second language or if you were educated outside of Canada.• N t be currently performing a Health Care Aide role and have not previously completed the HCA educational program in BC.During the Program:• Y u will be paid a stipend of $4.80 per hour for 37.5 hours per week, via Northern Health Payroll, funded by the Ministry of Health. This stipend is non-pensionable and the hours are not Employment Insurance (EI) insurable.• Y u will be in school on a full time basis and are expected to attend all classes.• T e Ministry of Health will pay the tuition, fees and costs of necessary books directly to the college and will provide participants with a $342 stipend to assist with the costs of pre-requisite courses (participants apply for this on-line once a seat in a cohort has been confirmed). • T e program may be a combination of on-line and face to face, in class learning.• T e theory portion of the program will be Monday to Friday. Clinicals and Practicum/Preceptorship portions will be varied shift days and times, including weekends and nights.• T avel and overnight stays may be required for class, labs or clinical placements.
