As a client financial services agent, you work closely with advisors and provide personalized support to members and clients. You help advisors deliver services and maintain business relationships. You have the latitude and are called upon to take charge of the immediate needs of members and clients by offering simple and rapid solutions in terms of investment, financing and protection, all in line with the action plan. You draw on your interpersonal savvy and communication skills to ensure member/client satisfaction and service quality in accordance with the organization’s standards and procedures. You provide significant business development support. You assist members and clients, providing excellent customer service. You create offers for routine transactions, and help sell products and services based on the needs of members and clients and current strategies and practices. You tailor your approach based on members’ and clients’ needs. More specifically, you will be required to :Handle client requests. Financial Services Representative (Permanent, Full-time)Location: Kingston, ON
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday
Rate of Pay: Dependent on experience
As a Financial Services Representative, you will: Specialize in retail lending, recommending solutions which will enable our members to achieve their personal financial objectives.
Anticipate and determine the needs of members. Transact request or refer the member to the suitable service area.
Conduct interviews (personal loans, lines-of-credit and mortgages), complete document/application preparation and credit analysis.
Approve or decline credit applications that are within assigned lending limits; or make a recommendation to the applicable Manager/Lender for approval or decline of credit applications not within assigned lending limits.
Provide needs-based advice, counselling members on financial matters such as family budgeting, credit management and investment/retirement planning.
Identify opportunities to generate sales and new members.
Monitor the renewal of maturing investments, mortgages and loans. Ensure members receive appropriate notice, advising of alternative options and assist with renewals.
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members by providing excellent member service.
Perform other duties as needed or assigned. Qualifications: Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or financial planning would be an asset
A minimum of two years’ comprehensive experience in consumer lending
Advanced member service and sales skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Mutual Funds License, active and in good standing
