Description De L'emploi

About Encore

Encore Corporate Travel is the only global, wholly owned Canadian Travel Management Company. For nearly four decades, we have built a reputation for independence, care, and precision. Our vision is bold: to be the world’s most loved travel partner.

We are growing quickly because we combine strong technology solutions with something our competitors cannot match: the human experience. Where others lean heavy on tech and light on service, Encore leads with people. Our planners, advisors, and experts deliver care, grit, and precision at every step, powered by technology that removes friction and allows them to focus on what matters most.

We believe travel and events is personal. It is about trust, protection, and creating experiences that are impossible to copy. That is why Fortune 500 companies and leading financial institutions choose Encore. They know we will deliver, every time, with both cutting edge solutions and the human touch that defines us.

About the Role

We are reinventing how corporate meetings and events are delivered. No more 27 step manual workflows. No more “this is how it has always been done.” We are building an AI powered, tech enabled events business that can scale globally, launch new products, and deliver a level of personalization our industry has never seen.

As Senior Director of Meetings and Events Solutions, you will act as the business owner of Core Unite, Encore’s meetings and events division. You will carry full P&L responsibility, driving operational excellence, profitable growth, and transformation. Core Unite is powered by a team of professional event planners and group air specialists who deliver trusted, high touch logistics today. With you in the lead, we will scale this business, expand into new offerings like incentive travel and curated experiences, and embed AI and automation to remove friction so our people can focus where they add the most value.

This role combines operational leadership with business development. You will be front and center with clients, representing Core Unite in the market, building trust with decision makers, and driving adoption and expansion.

The role is based in Montreal at our beautiful headquarters on the Lachine Canal, a space that reflects our culture of energy, collaboration, and creativity.

What You Will Do

  • Own the full P&L of Core Unite, accountable for revenue growth, profitability, and margin discipline
  • Lead the transformation of event workflows, cutting manual steps and embedding automation that enables scale
  • Oversee the full cycle of event operations: sourcing, contracting, registration, manifests, ground logistics, hotel programs, and onsite execution
  • Partner with our Innovation and Product teams to build and refine a best in class event technology stack
  • Collaborate closely with our Commercial team to expand client adoption, build pipeline opportunities, and deliver growth
  • Launch new offerings including incentive travel, recognition events, and curated experiences, backed by solid operational models
  • Establish the KPIs, reporting, and governance that ensure operational performance at scale
  • Represent Core Unite externally with clients, partners, and industry forums, becoming a visible face of Encore in the meetings and events space
  • Lead and inspire a team of seasoned planners through change, building a culture of execution, innovation, and accountability

What You Bring

  • Proven experience owning or directly managing a P&L in a service business such as events, travel, or related industries
  • Deep operational knowhow in meetings and events, you understand sourcing, registration, manifests, logistics, and hotel contracting
  • A track record of scaling event operations efficiently while improving profitability
  • Strong commercial instincts, pricing strategy, vendor negotiations, ROI tracking, business development
  • Executive presence and confidence in front of clients, you can build trust at the C suite while keeping credibility with delivery teams
  • Fluency in AI, automation tools, and event technology platforms, with a focus on practical application to simplify operations
  • Change leadership skills to bring non technical teams into a high tech future

Why This Role Matters

Core Unite is already a respected and trusted events offering. But the opportunity ahead is massive. With the right leadership, this business can triple in size, expand into new products, and become the most innovative and profitable part of Encore.

This role is about more than growth. It is about proving that the future of meetings and events belongs to companies that deliver both, cutting edge technology to scale and the human experience to make it personal. At Encore, we believe AI and automation should strip out the friction, not the humanity. That is what will make Core Unite the most loved meetings and events partner in the world.
