You will be responsible for the review and inspection of files post-funding and pre-funding to ensure compliance and quality to underwriting and documentation standards as per nesto Group’s policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements. This position requires an ability to analyze each document separately, but also to be able to relate it to the deal as a whole. The Analyst will develop a sound knowledge of what ‘checks’ are required for each document in the file and how to identify and understand these documents. Strong time management skills are essential to this role. Our successful candidate will have the ability to effectively provide feedback regarding performance and find solutions to identified defects. Some of the duties and responsibilities you’ll have will include: Review an adequate sampling of mortgage applications to determine if nesto Group’s policies, general underwriting guidelines and procedures are being followed Determine if prudent residential mortgage underwriting decisions were made.
