Description :The Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting will be responsible for full management reporting, financial accounting and analysis for IMAX Corporation consolidated. The role will comprise of complex and challenging technical issues within U.S. GAAP environments. The company has over 30 entities with international operations and joint ventures. What you’ll do: Perform internal reporting and analysis.Prepare monthly consolidation and monthly/quarterly management reports.Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies.Enhance the structure and processes for monthly and quarterly reporting.Assist the team with SEC filings, and the issuance of monthly and annual reports.Participate in various special projects and tasks as needed.Conduct accounting analysis for revenue recognition.What you’ll need: CPA or equivalent Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, and experience with ASC 606/IFRS 15Solid analytical and technical skills with a minimum of 3 years of financial/corporate accounting experience including experience auditing public companies. Team player, able to interact professionally with members of the organization outside of the Finance group. Strong computer skills and must be fully proficient in Excel. Nice to have: Knowledge of SAP or BPC would be an asset. Excellent communication skills. Motivated, ability to multi-task. Ability to follow up and resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner. Must be available to work overtime as required. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely financial disclosures, guiding technical accounting practices, and collaborating with auditors. The ideal candidate will also drive improvements in processes and policies to maintain the highest standards of financial reporting.Responsibilities:• Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, ensuring full compliance with applicable accounting standards.• Analyze and review financial disclosures to meet regulatory and reporting requirements.• Lead the establishment and maintenance of company accounting policies, ensuring alignment with current standards and evaluating their impacts.• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes to deliver accurate and timely financial reports.• Direct the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes to support strategic planning.• Prepare and present financial data to senior leadership, the board of directors, and other stakeholders.• Provide expert technical accounting guidance for complex issues, such as revenue recognition and asset impairments.• Collaborate with external auditors during interim reviews and year-end audits to ensure smooth processes.• Develop and enhance processes and controls to maintain the quality and integrity of financial reporting.• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure transparency and alignment in financial operations.
