Your work environment at EXP EXP's is currently seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join their team in Brampton, Hamilton or Markham, ON. Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Services, the successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. This opportunity will be best suited for individuals that are self-motivated, hardworking, and passionate about the environmental field.What a day at EXP has in store for you Responsible for the completion of various field investigations (test pits, borehole drilling, soil and groundwater sampling), monitoring and associated reporting for a variety of Environmental Services, including, but not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs), ESAs in support of filing of Record of Site Condition, Excess Soil Reporting (Assessment of Past Uses, Soil Characterization Report); Environmental Site Remediation (Underground Storage Tank Removals, Soil and/or Groundwater Remediation Oversight). What your experience looks like Environmental/Geological/Civil Technician Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering); 2+ years of Related field experience for environmental works (drilling, sampling, remediation oversight);  Experience completing soil vapour, indoor air sampling or sub-slab vapour sampling would be considered an asset;  Eligibility for registration with PEO or APGO would be an asset; Willingness to travel across Ontario and Canada and participate in field programs (as needed); Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental regulations in addition to filing of RSCs; Experience working in environmental consulting would be considered an asset;  Strong computer skills; Effective writing and communication skills; Willingness to travel and participate in field programs; A valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle are required, as this role will include field visits to client sites; Ability to work in a team environment; Self-motivated and independent work habits; Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental Regulations; Working knowledge of building structures and systems would be an asset.   EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program. About the Role As Concrete Lab/Field Technician you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and durability of concrete used in construction projects. Your primary role will include daily visits to construction sites to collect samples and perform various tests on concrete mixes while working alongside engineers, contractors and other professionals. The position requires a strong understanding of concrete properties, testing methods and the ability to work collaboratively. RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Concrete Lab/Field Technician, your duties will include, but are not limited to: Conducting tests on concrete mixes to determine properties such as slump, air content, temperature and density; Performing compression tests on concrete cylinders to assess strength characteristics; Daily visits to various construction sites to collect samples; Maintaining accurate records of all testing procedures and results; Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, specifications and regulations;  General concrete laboratory duties, including operating and maintaining testing equipment and tools; Working outside and being exposed to changing weather conditions; and Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS: Civil engineering technology education or a closely related discipline; Education in concrete technology will be considered an asset; CCIL certification an asset, but not required; Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes; Ability to operate concrete testing equipment such as slump cones, air meters and compression machines; Good communication skills to interact with various stakeholders; Good time management and organization skills; Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting test results; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Access to a vehicle with full G driver’s license is required with good driving record (Driving Abstract required); and Physical ability to lift and move testing equipment; Commitment to safety protocols and procedures. Well established organization requires a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join thier team. This role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer sites in the Ottawa and Gattineau Region. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a customer-focused attitude, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service.

Duties

  • Perform on-site installations and repairs of equipment according to company standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each visit.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to problem diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, electrnoic, plumbing and gas fueld equipment.
  • Assist others in equipment installation or performing major reparis,
  • Handle service and preventative maintenance contracts and do product demonstration and training.
  • Must be available to work overtime if needed.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

High school graduate (minimum)
College graduate of a Mechanical - Electrical - Electronic course
Must have proven Mechanical and electrical aptitude
3 - 5 years experience in technical service related work

Bilingual English and French both verbal and written

Valid Drivers LIcense with reasonably clear abstract.

Must possess a valid provincial 'gas fitters licence'
In Ontario, must have the Certificate of Qualification of Gas Technician (G-2) and or be willing to get certified as part of the job offer. Extra compensation will be provided once license is obtained.
Must have a valid passport in order to travel to the US for training

We are currently looking for an experienced and safety conscious Field Lube Technician to work in a year-round capacity in and around the City of Edmonton.The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.Responsibilities:· Conduct pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities;· Safely lubricate and service light-duty and heavy-duty equipment as required and directed;· Complete equipment inspections, report repairs required and assist in scheduling these repairs;· Operate the lube/ service truck safely and efficiently and work in our southside shop as required;· Assist in maintaining inventory of service kits, lubes, oils and other supplies,· Perform regular oil changes based on our electronic work order system and Preventative Maintenance program;· Coordinate equipment service activities efficiently and effectively;· Support Journeyman Mechanics with unplanned breakdowns and repairs of heavy equipment;· Complete maintenance records and documentation as required;· Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members;· Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company, client, and legislated safety policies and procedures;· Receive and fulfill all request for lube service in the field.Qualifications:· Previous experience in construction or oil and gas industry will be preferred.· Minimum High School education or equivalent is required.· Some knowledge of the municipal road building industry is required.· Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure is required.· Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and a clean drivers abstract.
