About the Test Automation Specialist role Alcool NB Liquor is currently undergoing an exciting multi-year business transformation project, including the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365.The Test Automation Specialist ensures the quality and reliability of testing practices within our enterprise-wide business transformation program. Reporting to the QA Lead, they are responsible for implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks to enable repeatable, scalable, and high-quality regression testing. As the project enters the System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases, the Specialist will support increasingly complex testing requirements and drive continuous improvement across QA practices.Additonal ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using low-code/no-code tools (e.g. Executive Automats)Collaborating with QA, DevOps, and functional teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelinesSupporting test case creation and execution aligned with acceptance criteria and business flowsEnsuring test coverage across D365 Finance & Operations (F&O), ISVs, and integrated systemsProviding training and guidance to BAs and project team, including BAs and Key Users on automation best practicesSupporting performance and load testing initiatives where applicable Technical environment and testing toolsMicrosoft technologies, including Azure, Azure DevOps (ADO), SharePoint, Dynamics 365 F&O, Dynamics GP, and Power BI ReportingExecutive Automats, TestRailMicrosoft SQL, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)Business application systems, including Warehouse Management software, POS, data warehousing, EDIWhat do you need to be successful? Post-secondary education in Computer Science or equivalent experienceWhile a formal degree or diploma is preferred, we value practical experience and are open to considering candidates with equivalent experience in lieu of educational qualifications.Previous experience in software testing and quality assuranceWorking knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Executive Automats, TestRail, Selenium, or similar)Familiarity with programming concepts and the software development lifecycleEnjoyment in troubleshooting and solving complex issues within a teamWould be an asset if you had: Experience in ERP implementations, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365Experience with the Azure technology stackKey CompetenciesEnsures Accountability: Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments. Your Impact We’re looking for an experienced Test Engineer (QA Automation) to join our QA department .
In this role, you will: Develop and implement automated testing solutions for the next generation of Acre’s security products. Collaborate with R&D to deliver high-quality, industry-defining technologies. Support and mentor other QA engineers in automation best practices. What You’ll Do In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include: Develop automated test modules and test software, initially focusing on HTML Web interfaces and later expanding to C# APIs. Manage automated test code using Git, including releasing and archiving documentation and related data.
Create and maintain automated test prototypes for different types of code.
Participate in an Agile development environment.
Provide support in manual testing as needed, depending on department workload. Liaise with R&D team members on all automation-related topics.
Stay up to date on emerging technologies relevant to test automation. What You’ll Bring To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent. At least 3 years’ experience in a test automation role. Strong background in developing automated test solutions. Hands-on experience with tools such as TestComplete, Selenium/Selenium Webdriver, or Playwright. Proficiency in test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging. Some experience with .NET C#, ASP.NET Core, or .NET MVC. Knowledge of Internet technologies including CSS, HTML, HTML5, JSON, JavaScript/jQuery, and XML. Strong English communication skills, written and verbal. High attention to detail and thoroughness in testing.
Useful skills include: Experience with cloud development (Azure or AWS). Knowledge of Flutter/Dart automated testing. Exposure to Docker and documentDB/mongoDB. Familiarity with automated testing for hardware or firmware. Understanding of SW development tools (e.g., VS Code). Knowledge of communication technologies and web server configuration.
