About the Opportunity
- Support the preparation of consolidated quarterly tax provisions in accordance with IFRS for publicly traded investment vehicles.
- Review tax provision packages submitted by Canadian-based portfolio entities.
- Oversee Canadian tax compliance processes (including corporations, partnerships, foreign reporting, and other information returns) for select private investment structures and internal holding entities.
- Contribute to various group-wide tax initiatives, including Pillar 2 and EIFEL reporting, foreign accrual property income (FAPI) calculations, surplus computations, and excluded property assessments.
- Manage tax operations for designated private investment vehicles.
- Handle tax audits and respond to inquiries from Canadian tax authorities.
- Address tax-related questions from investors in both public and private investment structures.
- Collaborate with global tax team members on cross-functional initiatives.
About You
- CPA designation with a minimum of 4 years of corporate tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 accounting firm or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of tax accounting under IFRS for publicly traded entities.
- Proven experience managing large-scale Canadian tax compliance projects.
- Solid understanding of Canadian domestic tax issues affecting large corporations.
- Familiarity with international tax matters, including Pillar 2.
- Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax Course (Parts I–III) or a Master of Taxation degree.
- Excellent project management and analytical skills, with a pragmatic approach to complex tax matters.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range
$120,000 - $125,000 /year

- Assists in the preparation of annual operating budgets
- Analyze financial and statistical information for internal customers

About the Opportunity
General Accounting & Financial Oversight:
- Supervise account reconciliation activities across all general ledger accounts, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items
- Approve reconciliations and journal entries prepared by junior accounting team members
- Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries, schedules, and reports
- Produce full financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and support in delivering financial analysis

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365; knowledge of tools like Power BI and VBA is considered an asset
- Hands-on experience with enterprise accounting systems; involvement in system upgrades or implementations is a plus
- High attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines

About the Opportunity
- Prepare and coordinate departmental budgets, business plans and forecasts
- Co-ordinate finance activities for operational business unit – month end, yearend, budget, etc.
- Assist/mentor project leaders with project billings, expense allocations etc.
- Analyze trends and other data used in preparing forecasts of sales, expenses and cash flows of the department

- As a key member of the team provide insight into the financial aspects of projects through to the project leaders, the Department Manager and the Business Manager
- Provide month-to- month financial data and trends

- Review projects for provisions (warranty, loss etc.)

About You
